Question #2:
who wrote the book about the murders of a farm family and the trial and hanging of the convicted murderers.?
If I'm not mistaken, it was written by a Gay Reporter and I think the events happened in the 1930's or 1940's. Question #3:
What is the title of 30s or 40s film about a man losing touch with his family for 20 years after amnesia?
I'm looking for the name of an old b&w film about a man who lost touch with his family for 20 years or so after suffering amnesia.PLOT: A family man gets into a tussle with a hobo near some train tracks, whereupon he strikes his head and forgets who he is. Meanwhile, the one who robs him (either getting his watch or wallet) gets hit by a train and killed and thus is presumed to be to be the man with with amnesia. The amnesiac wonders around for about 20 years until finally his memory returns and he makes his way back home. He gets to his old front door around Christmas time and peeks into the front window, noticing his grown up children with wives and families of their own and his aged wife happily surrounded by an extended family. The man decides not to disrupt this family that has obviously moved on, letting them go on with their lives, as he saunters away in a light snowfall.
This movie is a real tearjerker that was once parodied on the 1970s series Soap, where Chester Tate loses his memory and wonders off, away from home.

Question #4:
If you have no money and lose everything you own but still have your health and family..whats the big deal ?
Question #5:
Do you like your name? Would you change it, and what to?
This is just for fun, I got put on bed rest temporarily, and I have been soo bored! So I'm gonna be asking alot of random questions for a bit lol. What is your name, do you like it? If you could change it to any name, would you? What name would you pick?
My name is Lindsay, but most of my friends/family call me Linds. It definitely is not my favorite name, but I cant say that I don't like it. I dont really think that it fits a small child, or an older lady though! I think that it fits someone between the ages of 15-35 best.. better embrace it while I can LOL. I am fine with my name, I might change it if I could though.. I really dont know what I would change it to though! I would have to think about it long and hard, there are so many names to choose from.
Oh: I didnt mean if you could change your name NOW, I meant if you could change that your parents named you something else. If that makes sense. Sorry I didnt make that clear lol.
** If you could go back in time and change what your parents named you.
I really need to start re-reading what I write before I hit submit!
Question #6:
Would you die for your family ?
Or the one you love.I would fight dieing to protect my loved ones
Question #7:
What would YOU do with this child?
She's extremely Intelligent. Straight As. Knows the value of a dollar and has more cash on her than her parents. She's got a smart mouth though and loves to question authority. She knows how to get exactly what she wants in every situation and knows how to use her words so people will listen to her and do what she asks for. She loves to argue because she knows she'll almost always win. Her family insists she become a lawyer because they can't even win against her.As a child, spankings didn't work. She'd only want revenge and would keep a mental list of things she thought her parents did wrong and came up with ways to get back at them later.
Soap in the mouth didn't work. Threats didn't work. Time outs were never used. No matter what her parents did she'd always figure out a way to get what she wanted. And if using her words didn't work, she'd work to get what she wanted. She's a very persistent little b*tch.
In a way it's a good thing. You KNOW she wont be pushed around as an adult and she'll definately have money.
She works hard and she knows money doesn't grow on trees.
This girl doesn't take no. And if no is the only option, she'll be sure to find a loophole or another way around it.
Question #8:
My ex-boyfriend's father passed away. Gift?
I dated a guy for 4 years. It turned long distance and didn't work out so I ended things. That was 3 years ago and now I am happily married with a daughter. My problem is that my ex's father just passed away from cancer that they found in July. I really really liked his Dad. He was always kind and was even nice to me after the relationship was over (whereas the ex's mother was awful and pretended I didn't exist when we crossed paths afterwards.)
So what is an appropriate gift to send to the funeral? I don't send flowers... It's a waste of money since they just die (and kinda like a reminder... dead family member... dying flowers.... blah).
Question #9:
How to use iTunes home sharing ?
My sister and I typed in our passwords for the home sharing thing then the icon for it just disappeared. I know that the whole point of it is to use other family's songs but how does that work? How do I get her songs ?Question #10:
Suppose a study were performed examining whether there is a significant difference...?
As to whether men and women have different aspirations in terms of what they want from their jobs/careers (such studies have been done). Then suppose these same studies showed, overwhelmingly, that a pattern exists where women value a clean and comfortable workplace in addition to extra time to spend with family at home to money whereas men prefer making more money in contrast to the work environment I described above.Wouldn't it be common sense that the women, in this case, would earn less money as a group than this cohort of men? Such studies have been done and do, indeed, reflect precisely what I've described. Why do feminists continue to suggest that in light of this information, there exists some sort of wage gap that's based upon gender discrimination? Non feminists argue, routinely, that the difference in overall income between men & women is based upon factors unrelated to gender discrimination, i.e. the difference in earning exists, however the basis for it is NOT DISCRIMINATION, but rather it's fundamental differences in the PRIORITIES of women & men as they pertain to what they get from their work.
Moreover, here's another issue that I don't really get. A feminist posted this highly biased CNN article as evidence that there is "gender-based discrimination." But in the very body of the text it reads, "Despite the pay gap, according to several studies, women are actually more satisfied at work!"
Now, let's be frank here: how could so many women declare satisfaction with what they do if they're purportedly being discriminated against on something as basic as their paycheck? When will feminists stop this nonsense about widespread discrimination on the basis of gender and pointing to artificial statistics and anecdotal accounts which amount to nothing substantive? When will they start producing evidence in the form of well-performed studies where the most important confounding factors are controlled for?
When will feminists stop teaching such rubbish to young, easily persuaded young women who take this at face value and don't have the luxury of hearing opposing views which challenge such feminist dogma?
@millwoodsgal: With due respect, what could possess you to answer a question that you don't even understand? If you don't understand it, why not simply ignore it rather than offer something that doesn't help me?
@Libby, Thank you for your answer. May peace be upon you.
@Untamed Rose: I'm simply limiting this discussion to the purported wage gap between the genders. This question is not intended to discuss differences amongst ethnicities and such, just men and women, please.

Question #12:
Why do people fart in front close friends but not their enemies?
People tend to fart in front of those they love and feel close to eg family, SO's, close friends. But they don't fart in front of their enemies.
Shouldn't it be the other way round????? I mean, just to state the obvious, farts aren't exactly pleasant for the other person.
Question #13:
How do I communicate with the spirit of my uncle & does anyone know why he cold not stay in the body?
Some time ago I overheard my mom and dad having a conversation about my uncle-on May 29th,2009 he was rushed to the er in an Indiana hospital, from what I heard, he didn't even know who he was or who his own family members were(memory loss from complications of diabetes) I heard he was hooked up to all kinds of machines and medical stuff and he kept going in and out of cardiac arrest over and over and over again, and every time doctors and nurses revived him and even before anyone could leave the room,he went in cardiac arrest again and again and every time they revived him the same thing happened.(Code Blue)and I also heard he had lots of blood and fluid coming out of his stomach) And my mom said she was waiting in the waiting area and a nurse came around the corner and told her my uncle John has died...........
Question #14:
Little background why dog hates girlfriend?
I have had my doberman for 2 years. He has always been aggressive by nature. My father trains hunting dogs. So I had him help me train Blue (my doberman). We worked on basic commands first took a few months but he was doing great. I have a nice house and I wanted him to able to guard it when I wasn't home. My dad used a bite suit and we worked on attacks commands very hard and also intruder attacks. We stopped before teaching him to bite without command because he was aggressive that I had to yell at the top of my lungs to get him to release or sometimes even grab him. He would get so in to it like a game for him. We spent about 3-4 hours a day 5-6 days a week for over a year working with him. Plus, he has had a tendency to release arm and go for the throat. So he will not bite unless I give him the command and he only listens to me. So to everyone that says I am not in control of him you be mistaken. I love my dog like a family member. He has never ran away from me I walk with him off leash no problems. In public as long as I am with him he is fine with people. Now in the house i a different story. I have 2 cats also that he thinks are his hahaha. When my girl friend comes over he gets tense and stairs straight at her and is so focused. I said before I can see his aggression building because that same stance he takes and the look is what he would do before I gave him his attack command. He will not growl or bark unless I tell him to. So she thinks he is just nervous because she is new and would put her hand out trying to get him to sniff it and he would just stare without moving his eyes. I wanted him to be like this and he is great with me. I even left him outside before by accident my phone was ringing and I though he came in behind me. About 20 minutes later I look outside and he is just still just standing at the door lol. How can I show him she is not a threat without having him think it is ok for strange people to be in the house. I can't leave he in the same room with him without me because he will attack no doubt. How would you fix this?I wanted him to be an attack dog. He is great at that one command and the person is down no question. We actually worked with him in my house the intruder work. I watched him pull my dad in the window by his arm and just go after him. I promise anyone who tries to break in while I am not there will be there when I get home
Question #15:
Funerals-Why do people eat after a funeral and do you think that is rude to eat after a funeral?
I have never understood why after people leave the cemetery where who ever passed is buried to rest and then family, friends, relatives rush to the place where the re pass is and they eat like they have never eaten before, and they keep on eating till there is no more food.I went to my uncle's funeral on June 5th,2009 he was buried at Burr Oaks Cemetery.
Does eating after a funeral symbolize anything?
Question #16:
My birthday is coming up....?
My 25th birthday is coming up on December 20th.. Things have been really difficult financially with me being out of work, and my Fiances hours being cut back.. I never do anything for my birthday and I never ask for anything, NEVER... the last birthday party I had was when I was 16.. I want to do something for my 25th birthday, but I feel selfish even bringing it up with Christmas right around the corner.. I was wondering if anyone could suggest some free/cheap things to do on my birthday with my fiance, our families, and friends.. The main thing I want for my birthday is to be able to enjoy the day with out thinking about how much the holidays are going to suck this year, or how much the bills cost.. I want a day to just be happy with the people I love, but I also want to know that when I come back to reality that I wont be freaking out about spending to much on myself.. Which unless it is free I probably will because thats just how I am..I live in Orlando Florida.. Happy Birthday to the girl who's bday is three days before mine, and I am loving the ideas so far..
Question #17:
what is everyone's best hunting story of all time?
Mine is when i was hunting in concan texas with my dad and a family friend. We were in the back of a truck heading home after the evening hunt i hadn't shot anything but my cousin had just shot a big axis deer i mean it was big. So we were heading home when are guide George stibe pulls in this big meadow and tells me ''get your gun ready when i flip on the headlights shoot the biggest one you see''. So i get my gun take it off safety and find a rest then all of a sudden the lights come on and there is a field full of axis deer! I see a big one shoot and he falls over so we throw him in the bed of the truck and are on are Merry way when suddenly my deer starts moving! I freak out and my cousin bails out of the truck while its still moving. I jump on him and am trying to hold him down when my dad jumps in the bed and stabs him. It doesnt matter how long it is i am in the mood for reading a good storyQuestion #18:

Your help is greatly appreciated!Question #19:
Should I go visit my friends in America?
I live in Paris, France, and I love to visit America whenever I can. For the past year, I've been in touch with a guy my age (I'm 18) who lives in Florida. I met his friends thru video chatting and we've had long, extensive conversations about any topic you could think of. He's a college student in UF and lives in an apartment with 3 other guys (one of whom I've met). Two months ago we were talking about one of us traveling to meet the other in person. He doesn't have a passport so we decided I went over there. I was questioning the whole thing, but after talking to my parents and having them approve, and the low flight costs and plus him agreeing to fully tender my needs and accommodation arrangements, I decided to book a flight.
Since that flight was booked, I've had ongoing thoughts and fears from going to a foreign country, to people whose lower limbs I haven't even seen ^^. I've been to A a couple of times, but it was with family, never alone. It's my first time traveling alone like this and I'm very scared of multiple possible occurrences. Moreover, I'm due to stay over for 1 month. The closer I get to that date my reservations are growing and my confidence ebbs.
I've been able to think of so many reasons why I DO want to go, but so many reasons why I shouldn't. Canceling the flight would cost me 150$, but would allow me to avoid possible fun, and possible disgrace.
About staying with them, I'm very VERY "don't enter my personal space" and I constantly need my corner to be alone in. I NEVER feel comfortable at other people's houses or even at hotels I feel really awkward. It's rather funny, writing this it seems appropriate that this should be my letter of concession to him ^^.
However, I've been dreaming about how good it could be. I've longed for visiting america, and plus on my own, that could really be a blast. I cannot think of why I would otherwise have reservations from doing this. I remember being completely flabbergasted by the abundance of prosperity in America when I first went there, I would really love to revisit those experiences with greater joy.
How do you feel about this? Would you go? (and I'm referring to the random person reading this, I just need a rational, non-biased opinion)
Thank you very much!
Question #20:
What can I do to help this child?
I posted this a few weeks earlier, but some new stuff has happened and I need advice. First of all, my neighbors are foster parents. One of the kids is a six-yr-old boy named Noah whose real parents broke two of his ribs. He's friends with my little brother.Noah is often picked on by the older boys, who hold him down and tickle him until he cries. Five boys do this sometimes and they even pull off his socks and tickle his feet. One time he wet his pants when they were tickling him and got grounded. Also, his foster parents often don't feed him supper as punishment. Sometimes he's not allowed outside on weekends, but he's a well-behaved boy so I don't understand it.
I reported it to Social Services, but they didn't find anything wrong. But soon after I noticed Noah was more withdrawn than usual and has bruises on him, after the CPS people talked to his parents. He says he was beaten as punishment for lying about being abused, which he wasn't lying at all. The kids are all terrified there and I don't know what to do anymore.
Noah deserves a good home. He's a very sweet, good-looking boy and I love him and I think any family would love to have him. What should I do?
