What do you personally like most about Christmas?

I enjoy some time with my Family and friends, the fact that its my birthday on the 30th of DEC and that its the end of the year. Not to mention the PRESENTS :)

My parents are split so i get Lots more presents and am constantly christmas partying from the 23rd to the 26th! :)

Name of the "hated" England soccer player who never played and wouldn't terminate his contract?

I can't remember much about the situation, but a friend of mine was telling me about some (possibly Dutch) soccer player who was under contract with a team in England, but never played and continued to collect money and was faced with harsh looks when he wouldn't leave. Can anyone think of the player's name based on my vague and possibly inaccurate description? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Footballer, of course :) I believe it was within the last 5 years. Apparently he just sat and collected money and wasted the team's money, which is why people were upset.

Serious girl problem, mature answers please?

've known her for a year. When we started hanging out, I fell for her, but she said she didn't want a romantic relationship, citing differences in religion and culture. So we took some time apart, but started hanging out again. Until my feelings came back, then we would take time apart. This happens about 6 times, each time we keep getting closer, until...well now we're so close we're each others best friend. Each time we stop talking though, both of us tell each other "this is it, we can't keep seeing each other", but she'll cry, or I'll get upset, and soon we'll be seeing each other again. Once she took me leaving pretty bad, and proceeded to burn my things; another time she changed her number, only to call me 3 weeks later saying it was a mistake. Another was when we weren't talking, until I found out she was sick....she was traveling at the time, so I got on a plane to see her.

I thought I could deal with just being her friend, but I can't. We call each other several times a day, and hang out twice a week, usually doing something like a nice restuarant, watching a meteor shower, talking a walk on the beach...something romantic. And now, it's like I can't deal with it anymore. A part of me, just wants to make her happy, and be her friend; but the other part realizes that this is pretty hopeless, she won't ever fall for me. It's obvious we care a lot about each other. Is there a solution to this problem?

What is your name, do you like it? If you could change it to any name, would you? What name would you pick?

My name is Lindsay, but most of my friends/family call me Linds. It definitely is not my favorite name, but I cant say that I don't like it. I dont really think that it fits a small child, or an older lady though! I think that it fits someone between the ages of 15-35 best.. better embrace it while I can LOL. I am fine with my name, I might change it if I could though.. I really dont know what I would change it to though! I would have to think about it long and hard, there are so many names to choose from.
Oh: I didnt mean if you could change your name NOW, I meant if you could change that your parents named you something else. If that makes sense. Sorry I didnt make that clear lol.

Alright so I have this best friend, who means everything to me, ive known him for about 1 year and a half, recently we got really close I cant stop thinking about him. I go over to his place all the time and at school we hang out at lunch all day sometimes just us two talking to each other. I asked him out to a ball game (our team won) the whole time we were just punching/smiling at each other and he kept staring at me..to be fair so was I, and then he started to rub his leg on me! DUDE this made me go insane, i dont know if it was cuz of the music beat or was he doing some foot flirting. Me and him are always together but im scared to tell him I like him cause he might just think were good friends. Also heres a tip im gay and hes apparently straight, he doesnt kno im gay though. But sometimes the way he looks at me makes me go crazy I'D APPRECIATE all help/advice.
Further info, were both in the same highschool both 17, he's never had a girlfriend but he hits on girls at parties, but he also flirts with me so, I really dont know what to do!! I want to make my move but im confused.

ok so i have depression and an anxiety disorder. so today my friend was being an asshole to me as he usually is... he has some control issues and he doesn't know when to shut up. the problem is he said something that hurt my feelings that wasn't even really mean i just took it extremely personally and i instantly started to feel suicidal. i get like this ALL the time! i have a therapist and i take medicine for the depression. so far it obviously isn't working. so my question is 1. is it my fault that i got hurt by him? 2. should i switch meds since it isn't working so far?

Having problems with my friend?

I've had the same best friend for a while now and we used to always fight but now things are pretty good. I feel like he ignores me though, I might just be paranoid though. I get really irritated by that and some of the other things he does and I don't know how to confront him about it... I've tried before but I think I come off too harsh or I just don't get the message through because we usually end up in little arguments. We haven't really talked much lately so I feel like we're drifting apart a little and I don't know if I want that or not. I want my lip pierced, not like my nipples or like anywhere gross. My parents are ok with it. But they don't wanna have to deal with my grandparents. They wouldn't go after me, but they would go after my parents. They only believe in piercing a GIRLS earlobe. That's all. Not even a guy. So my parents said if I did convince them, then I could get it [my cousin's a piercer with the needles and everything, she has over 50 piercings herself]. Or if they die I could get it done [they're already like 77 and 75]. I'm not hoping they die just for a piercing by the way! Was He Lying About His Sexuality?? Please State Your Opinion!!!?

First of all this guy has got my attention...which is weird cause I didn't like him at first. My best chick friend knows who I like. Well she did something without even letting me know what she was going to do. She said she found random pictures of a girl and created a fake facebook to try to get information about him. Well she sent him a random message, to which he replied to. They were having random conversations until she popped in the "gay/bisexual" conversation. She said she was "bi" posing as the girl, and she asked him if he was gay or bi. He replied saying that he's bi curious and actually had a boyfriend before. Then they broke up but didn't want to tell her because he was going to "cry". And that the breakup was so bad that he switched back to girls. They kept talking about some other random stuff, and he stopped replying to her. She decided to delete that account and tried it again two months later but with a different person. She sent him something, which he replied to again....randomly talked about some random stuff AGAIN, and she popped in the "gay'bisexual" conversation again! But she said she tried it in a different way. lol
Only this time, he said that he doesn't have anything against gays but he doesn't agree with it:/
What do you guys think this means? Do you think he was actually just messing around the first time? Or he wasn't being honest at all? And noo, I'm not gonna confront him about this at all...or even admit my feelings for him. I mean if there's nothing there, then there's no reason for me to say how I feel. Please don't judge my friend about what she did....she was only trying to help me.....in creepy sort of way! lol

Girl 1: Has short honey blond hair with side bangs and pretty dark brown eyes. Loves all animals, loves horseback riding, works to help the environment and loves nature, is currently working towards becoming a vegetarian, loves to read and write, and has has work put in the local paper, is pretty good at the clarinet but not obsessed, and is really funny but slightly shy, favorite color is green.

Cons: Is pretty good at sports other than horseback riding (but not amazing), is kinda shy.

Me and my friend were just doing this for fun. We did the Pros together, but each of us did the other girl's cons. so i think my friends may be addicted to weed, they smoke at least a score practically everyday and i dont like it! i've seen the first hand effects of smoking too much too often and don't want the rest of friends to turn into that... can i stop them in a way that doesnt sound like i'm nagging them or sounding like their mother's!?
