Question #2:

Do you like your name? Would you change it, and what to?

This is just for fun, I got put on bed rest temporarily, and I have been soo bored! So I'm gonna be asking alot of random questions for a bit lol.

What is your name, do you like it? If you could change it to any name, would you? What name would you pick?

My name is Lindsay, but most of my friends/family call me Linds. It definitely is not my favorite name, but I cant say that I don't like it. I dont really think that it fits a small child, or an older lady though! I think that it fits someone between the ages of 15-35 best.. better embrace it while I can LOL. I am fine with my name, I might change it if I could though.. I really dont know what I would change it to though! I would have to think about it long and hard, there are so many names to choose from.
Oh: I didnt mean if you could change your name NOW, I meant if you could change that your parents named you something else. If that makes sense. Sorry I didnt make that clear lol.
** If you could go back in time and change what your parents named you.

I really need to start re-reading what I write before I hit submit!

Question #3:

Who Do You Like More? (Re-posted)?

Which girl would you rather date/hang out with/be friends with?

Girl 1: Has short honey blond hair with side bangs and pretty dark brown eyes. Loves all animals, loves horseback riding, works to help the environment and loves nature, is currently working towards becoming a vegetarian, loves to read and write, and has has work put in the local paper, is pretty good at the clarinet but not obsessed, and is really funny but slightly shy, favorite color is green.

Cons: Is pretty good at sports other than horseback riding (but not amazing), is kinda shy.

Girl 2: Has long, dark brown hair and brown eyes, is Japanese, is a pretty good singer (but not amazing), is nice, is good at the clarinet, loves to read, favorite color is blue, good at doing makeup, a great swimmer, and likes dogs.

Cons: Obsesses over guys, has very low self-esteem and is always saying how she is fat and ugly and stupid, flirts a lot, always asks "Are you mad at me?"

Me and my friend were just doing this for fun. We did the Pros together, but each of us did the other girl's cons. Tell us who you would rather hang out with, but no rude comments please and no saying stuff like "Call me!" or "Here's my e-mail!" because we're not looking for dates, we just want to see who is the most likable.

Question #4:

Do you think it's natural for a guy like me to think or act this way?

Me and this guy were talking about, well, women of coarse and relationships between a man and a woman (conversation started when I was talking about why I chose to be single).

I wish I can describe what we said, but since it's long, I'm just going to jump straight into what ticked me off.

I was talking to him about why I chose to be single and other reasons, until he brought up, "Well, the way I see it, every guy should have a woman" or something like that. Now, it might be true in some people's cases, but to me, a guy doesn't need a woman that badly.

In other words, if one does not think he needs woman, then people should not look down on him and think he/she is weird in a way. I'm tired of society making people feel that everyone should have somebody. If two people are happy with one another, great, but if someone is better off being single for his/her personal reasons, that's fine, but don't look down on that single person, wondering, "Oh, why isn't he/she with someone", or "Dude, you need a girl". I especially hate those who are with someone, but have this "urge" or whatever to make a certain person feel lonely, by showing off his girl, or her man to whoever or something.

If you are happy with who you are with, then good. Keep it to yourself because in the end, know one cares. I'm sick of this repeatable crap cycling around me, and everything else that society is throwing at peoples faces. Call me weird, but when it comes to dating, I'm not putting myself out on the market or changing myself for someone else. I'm a decent man who's 20, I'm an artist, I do other stuff on my spare time, and I'm doing everything in my power to make art a living for me by becoming an illustrator when I graduate. If someone ever did come across to to not liking one bit on one of the things I do...then don't bother and waste my time.

I can be considered a nice guy, but I made myself the person who will not put up with any situation with anyone. I know the type of women out there I am interested in, so I know my taste. I don't mind talking to a woman too, but I'm to the point where I'm not looking for anything special unless it's serious, other than that, I have better things to do than having that waste my time.

Do you think it's weird for a 20 guy like me to think this way?? I might be young, but I know my standards, and I'm sticking to them. I've tried to do a little bit of what people around my age are doing, but it didn't work out. I even tried talking to people as well, but in the end, I realized that I'm better off not socializing with anyone unless I actually feel like it. I can have "fun", but I'm not going to force myself to be thrown in a house in some drinking party, other any of that other stuff under that category.

Also, someone told me that I'm considered a Classic Recluse, meaning one who knows he/she is recluse, and accepts it.

(I apologize for the rant. I just wanted to type this up quickly while I'm still thinking about it)

Question #6:

how do i get my friend to stop making fun of me?

my friend ask me who ive slept with and i said no one i still have this ring and she started laughing and calling me a wussy

Question #7:

How many of you are just miserable and no fun to be married to? Who will admit it?

I'm just curious. Some people who answer in this section seem to do nothing but nag and complain, are insecure and have no sense of humor At All.
So on a scale of 1-10, how much fun are you to be married to?

Question #8:

Is he being rude or not?

My boyfriend picks on me because I am failing my Chemistry class. I am normally a straight A student but I am just having trouble with it. I am actually passing the Chemistry lab but not the lecture. I have never missed class, I take excellent notes, I read and write in my chemistry book, I go to all the SI sessions (that's where the teaching assistant provides extra help), I ask classmates to explain things to me and I go to the teacher's weekend help sessions before the exam. I normally get A's or B's on the quizzes, a few times I have gotten a C but I just fail the exams. I stay up late studying and rereading the chapters that will be covered, I make flash cards to help me study and I have gotten F's on all my exams. So now whenever I am doing something just for fun like reading a book or playing a game...my boyfriend teases me and says shouldn't you be reading your Chemistry book? Every time he sees me not studying he says this. It's getting old and I have told him it hurts my feelings and I think it's mean but he says he just joking. I have asked him to stop but because he doesn't think its mean he doesn't I mean we can't study all the time...there has to be some fun in my life. I can't afford a tutor so with the exception of hiring one I think I have done everything I can to pass this class and it isn't working. Is he right? Am I just being sensitive?

Question #9:

RHH: My extremely detailed thoughts on Hip-Hop and a question that most of you won't care about(PF).........?

Now it's in paragraphs so you can read it......

But after asking the pure skill question, it seemed like the conclusion was skills don't matter. If that is the case than here is something to think about. Read, answer and comment.

When you look at it, Hip-Hop has always for the most part been based solely on pure skills. Even from the earliest days it was which crew could out do what crew no matter what aspect you was looking at. Whether it was B-Boying, MCing, DJing, or even Graffiti, Hip-Hop has always been based on pure skills/talent. B-Boys battled, MCs battled, DJs battled, even Graf artist in a way battled with their art. The reason they battled was to determine who was superior based on pure skills: who had better rhymes, could scratch better, break, or graf better. That's why a lot of people say there is a difference between Hip-Hop and Rap Music to distinguish the fact that Hip-Hop isn't music.

Yeah when you look at who is a better musical artist you should only pay attention to the finished product (i.e the albums, songs, etc), but when you are talking MCs it's different (again why real cats distinguish the difference between a Rapper and an MC). Yes there is the obvious similarities between Rapper and MC: they both rap, they both could or not rap for a living(occupation) both could or not have skill. But you can't ignore the fact that there is a difference between a Rapper and an MC. Mostly the difference occurs in what they are rapping for.

A rapper raps for two reasons and only two reasons: just to rap or to make music, rather it is professionally or for fun, and for fun might just fall in the first category. But an MC raps first because they have talent, to prove their talent, for love, to spread a message, then the making music part comes latter down the road. For the most part though most of the weight falls on MCing for love. The love of what? The love of MCing and that's it. If you are MCing for any other reason other than the love of MCing than you are not an MC. Maybe someone with exceptional talent who did it because they have talent could be an exception though if they pursed their talent (that would be a rare case though usually if you are talented at something you love it).

Also a difference is obviously an MC belongs to Hip-Hop and a Rapper doesn't. If we are saying that we should only judge the finial product of Rap Music than we are ignoring the MCing part and are therefor only focusing on the Rap Music part (in other words taking the Hip-Hop out of Rap Music making it just Rap Music and not actually Hip-Hop). But that seems quite contradictory given that most people on here throw around the word Hip-Hop more than KRS-One. And also throw around the terms or phrases "lack of Hip-Hop knowledge" and "real Hip-Hop" a lot too. And even if you're not the type of person who uses the phrase "real Hip-Hop" most throw around the idea of one type of what they call "Hip-Hop" being better than what someone else likes which is really the same thing when you get down to it (or it could also be the same thing as saying there is no such thing as Hip-Hop only Rap Music, in specific cases).

So to finally get the the question, which is it? Do people just lack the knowledge of what Hip-Hop really is? Or do people just throw around the term so loosely that they often out of mistake just use the term Hip-Hop in place of Rap Music? I mean it could be that people just don't give a shyt about Hip-Hop too, if you are willing to take that side
@ Bonnie, thanks but I couldn't disagree more.

You are missing the entire essence of what Hip-Hop is by claiming that a Rapper=MC or that Hip-Hop=Rap Music.

But it is purely an essence so I can't fault you for missing it. But there is 100% a difference and I'll put that on my life. It might not be an easy difference to distinguish and it could be a very very very fine line but it is there.

Maybe that was the problem. Depending on how many people agree with your view point could determine whether or not that is the problem with Hip-Hop in general. Maybe people just can't define the essence.
Maybe Hip-Hop for the most part is actually dead. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Question #10:

Should I go visit my friends in America?

I live in Paris, France, and I love to visit America whenever I can. For the past year, I've been in touch with a guy my age (I'm 18) who lives in Florida. I met his friends thru video chatting and we've had long, extensive conversations about any topic you could think of. He's a college student in UF and lives in an apartment with 3 other guys (one of whom I've met).

Two months ago we were talking about one of us traveling to meet the other in person. He doesn't have a passport so we decided I went over there. I was questioning the whole thing, but after talking to my parents and having them approve, and the low flight costs and plus him agreeing to fully tender my needs and accommodation arrangements, I decided to book a flight.

Since that flight was booked, I've had ongoing thoughts and fears from going to a foreign country, to people whose lower limbs I haven't even seen ^^. I've been to A a couple of times, but it was with family, never alone. It's my first time traveling alone like this and I'm very scared of multiple possible occurrences. Moreover, I'm due to stay over for 1 month. The closer I get to that date my reservations are growing and my confidence ebbs.

I've been able to think of so many reasons why I DO want to go, but so many reasons why I shouldn't. Canceling the flight would cost me 150$, but would allow me to avoid possible fun, and possible disgrace.

About staying with them, I'm very VERY "don't enter my personal space" and I constantly need my corner to be alone in. I NEVER feel comfortable at other people's houses or even at hotels I feel really awkward. It's rather funny, writing this it seems appropriate that this should be my letter of concession to him ^^.

However, I've been dreaming about how good it could be. I've longed for visiting america, and plus on my own, that could really be a blast. I cannot think of why I would otherwise have reservations from doing this. I remember being completely flabbergasted by the abundance of prosperity in America when I first went there, I would really love to revisit those experiences with greater joy.

How do you feel about this? Would you go? (and I'm referring to the random person reading this, I just need a rational, non-biased opinion)

Thank you very much!

Question #11:

How come its ok for a girl to be broke but not for a guy?

For example, if a girl is broke, guys will still take her out and want to start a relationship with her.
if a guy is broke or has not much money, women won't go out with him even if she has lots of money.

Why is it that women seem to only go with men if they have money? dont they see other qualities in men? money is not even a part of our body. If you say something like "men just think of sex when they see us, well arent you lucky, its something to do with your BODY not a material paper thing, or a bank account"

Why are women this way? like seriously why do they get so turned on by money.
I dont like the fact taht men have to have money to get a girlfriend/wife while women just have to be themselves, and atleast look average. Why is money such a big thing for women, seriously its just a material thing. ARGH!

im so frustrated,
also for example:
2 guys:
1 is not really high paid, but is good looking, kind, loving, fun to be with, and had good father potentials
- 2nd guy is really really rich, but is ugly, boring, and mean, and also is most likely going to cheat on her.

So the women are still going to choose the second guy. why cant women be more like men, instead of money grubbing animals.

I just dont get it, are women that stupid and dont know that money is a material thing and not a part of his body?
some research showed that a group of women were shown pictures of two cars with the exact same guy in both, they were attracted to the bently car guy instead of the ford guy (which both are exact same guys, no editing). Doesnt this prove that they are bit stupid? i mean how can you not tell the difference between two same people?
To me, money is just a material and it feels like crap that if you dont have it that women wont want you. But for women it doesnt matter, as long as your a woman and have atleast average looks.

Why do women want rich guys, i mean its ok if she thinks hes good looking, funny, etc etc, but i hate it wen they just want men with money, why cant they go out and earn it themselves.
I think guys who are rich should marry women who are in their same level of wealth so taht these gold diggers know that they arent wanted.

Question #12:

How good does a horse have to be to be leased?

I had a girl that wanted to lease my mare but because my mare didn't know things like side passing etc she thought I should be paying her to teach my horse instead of paying me even though I was only asking $50 a month. My horse is a sweetheart and I was only leasing her as a trail horse. Actually I don't ride much and I wanted her to get more experience than I give her. She is incredible on the trails with another horse. Will go first, last, through water and even things the other horse doesn't want to do but she's not nearly as fun out alone as she keeps wanting to go home. But she hasn't been out alone much so I think its just a matter of experience. Anyway is $50 asking too much for a horse like this. She is so sweet you can tack her up without even tying her up and she comes right to you and loves attention. Plus she's my avatar and is a beautiful palomino dun color with a gorgeous head even if she's on the heavy side. So what do you think? Can I lease her for this price? Is it worth it to someone? How good does a horse have to be to be leased? The lease was for 3 days a week with extra days for the asking.
I keep my horse at home so its not so expensive. $50 is all she's expected to pay. I pay everything else.

Question #13:

Canadian woman loses benefits over Facebook photo? Your thoughts?

Sun Nov 22, 1:20 pm ET
BROMONT, Quebec – A Canadian woman on long-term sick leave for depression says she lost her benefits because her insurance agent found photos of her on Facebook in which she appeared to be having fun. Click Here

Nathalie Blanchard has been on leave from her job at IBM in Bromont, Quebec, for the last year.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Saturday she was diagnosed with major depression and was receiving monthly sick-leave benefits from insurance giant Manulife.

But the payments dried up this fall and when Blanchard called Manulife, she says she was told she was available to work because of Facebook.

She said her insurance agent described several pictures Blanchard posted on Facebook, including ones showing her having a good time at a Chippendales bar show, at her birthday party and on a sun holiday.

Question #14:

Is it true that women will marry a ugly fat bald man if he has money?

It seems to me that women don't really care about how men look, like i see articles and stuff, and most women want a man who has a good job. and stuff like ambition smartness. so im like WTF, does that mean if your a ugly fat bald nearly retarded guy will you still get a hot woman to marry you.

It got me thinking about how screwed up women are, just becuase he is money.

So basically women will marry/have sex with a guy if he has money and he could be ugly as cow crap, have no personality, smell like crap, basically retarded and like almost 80 years but has lots of money?

seriously, what is it with women and money? why do they care about a mans money so much, i mean if they cared about a mans looks i wouldn't mind, because thats a part of his body, not a material thing.

I just don't get it, why do women go crazy over money?

Don't they want a normal but nice life with a man their own age, who is alright looking, fun to be with, they both work.

tell me women, why are you guys so crazy over money.
if you say, just like we are crazy over breasts and stuff, that isnt really valid, its because they are a part of YOUR body.

I know that women also like good looking guys and muscular guys, sort of like eye candy and one night stands. But they only want money when thinking about long term
@amy : why is financial security the most attractive thing? why? its just frickn money. Dont you women find anything else to like in men besides the money which is not a part of his body.
Seriously, in this age, women can make their own money, then why are women still crazy over money. I just dont get it, it makes me feel like men are nothing if they dont have money, but its A OK if women are broke.

Question #17:

I am 19, never kissed a girl, HELP!?

I am 19. I have never kissed a girl before. I want to find the right girl for me. I want an honest girl, but that is hard to come by. I also want a pretty girl, who also likes kissing boys. I want a girl with a good sense of humor. Also, one into politics. I want to wait to the right girl before I give my virginity away. Should I rush it so I dont get made fun of?

People are making me feel bad. I am not gay. I love the ladies. I just want to wait for the right girl to come along. I dont want her to be a skank. I want her to be my princess.

Question #19:

Christmas Party Games?

Hello! We're 14 and there'll be about 17 people at this party and I wanted some good game ideas for something fun, but not something that a 7 year old would do. I need some good ice breaker! Thanks! ( I had to write this question quik because Im about to go out to eat, sorry)
Thank you in advance!

Question #20:

What is the best modern day console?

Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii

The PS3 has the best games. It has all the good games the 360 has except Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. I don't really like GOW or Left 4 Dead. Halo is okay, but not great.
The PS3 has Killzone 2, Little Big Planet, Infamous, Resistance (Fall of Man and 2), God of War, Uncharted (1 and 2), Final Fantasy 13, Lost Planet 2, and Metal Gear Solid 4. And it has these games that are also made for Xbox: Fallout 3, Oblivion, Call of Duty (4, Modern Warfare 1 and 2, and WaW), Bioshock, Burnout Paradise, Assassin's Creed 2.
I like the visuals more on the PS3. No RRD too!!! And online play is free. Blu-ray movies.
Xbox live is great, but paying for it monthly?!!!? It's ridiculous!
The controllers for the PS3 feel more fitted for my hands. Everyone had a PS2 and is probably used to feel of a PS2 controller. The PS2 controller is basically like the the PS3 controller. Except the PS3 controller is wireless and charges quickly. I don't like the xbox controller much.
ON TO THE WII!!
It's fun for a little while, but my interest in it went away. Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda series, Pikmin, and Metroid are fun. But they don't have much lasting appeal. The graphics are a little too childish for me. It is a much more family oriented system than the PS3 and Xbox. The Wii is also more of a hassle to lug around and take other places since it has more cords.
1. PS3
2. Xbox 360
3. Wii
What's your opinion?
