Question #2:

To those who ride motorcycles?

How did you get from never rode a motorcycle to doing wheelies on the freeway? (What were the steps you took to being able to drive one) and advice on safety and necessary precautions. What do I need to know about motorcycle accidents.

I am interested in saving on gas for a cost efficient vehicle and a good beginner motorcycle.
And thank you this means a lot.
SAFETY FIRST

Okay after rereading my question (the part about wheelies)
I have gave the wrong impression.
I don't want to do wheelies on the freeway and frankly don't care if I can. What I meant was how did you go from no riding skills to good riding skills. (based on your comments wheelies aren't a big deal)
You can tell I've never rode a motorbike before.

Question #8:

Why is this happening? When I tighten the screw of the carburettor, the RPM increases!?

When I tighten the idle RPM screw of my Hero Honda Hunk motorcycle's Constant Volume carburettor clockwise, the RPM increases. Also, surprisingly, when I tighten the brass fuel intake screw clockwise, the screw becomes tight, but the number of strokes per second increases keeping the engine speed at 1000 RPM, which indicated RICHER fuel mixture. Also acceleration is better now. But If I turn anticlockwise, the screw loosens, and the mixture becomes leaner, and the number of strokes per second decreases and also poorer acceleration which proves LEANER fuel-air mixture. But all guides in the internet say that turning clockwise and tightening the brass screw makes fuel air mixture more LEANER? So what is the problem? Experts please guide me.

Question #9:

Is the US ever going to leave Iraq?

'>'We'll be in the region for the foreseeable future,'' said U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Allen G. Peck, deputy air commander of U.S. Central Command, which oversees the region. ''Our intention would be to stay as long as the host nations will have us.''

>Balad Air Base is among the world's busiest airports - in 2006 it was reported as second only to London's Heathrow Airport2. Bases like Balad are large enough to house internal bus lines, motorcycle and car dealerships, shopping malls, and even traffic- jammed roads3. The U.S. embassy in Iraq - the largest embassy in the world - approximates the size of the Vatican and runs its own electrical, power, and sewage plants. As former U.S. ambassador to Iraq Edward Peck said, "The embassy is going to have a thousand people hunkered behind sandbags. I don't know how you conduct diplomacy in that way"4.

>Asad Base is 19 square miles, has two bus routes, a car dealership, a Burger King, a Pizza Hut, traffic rules and stop signs. The proposed 2006 supplemental budget for Iraq operations would provide $7.4 million to extend the no man's land and build new security fencing. 3/26/06

>3/15/06 "The United States may want to keep a long-term military presence in Iraq to bolster moderates against extremists in the region and protect the flow of oil."
John Abizaid, Army general overseeing U.S. military operations in Iraq.

>The U.S. military has more than $1.2 billion in projects either underway or planned in the Central Command region -- an expansion plan that U.S. commanders say is necessary both to sustain operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and to provide for a long-term presence in the area.

>Robert Gates has hinted that the withdrawal of combat brigades will be accomplished through an administrative sleight of hand rather than by actually withdrawing all the combat brigade teams. Appearing on Meet the Press Mar. 1, Gates said the "transition force" would have "a very different kind of mission", and that the units remaining in Iraq "will be characterised differently".

"They will be called advisory and assistance brigades," said Gates. "They won't be called combat brigades."

Shh: You really believe they're just going to drop all those billion dollar bases and walk out? And by the way, when was anything the US is doing in Iraq legal? Legal to whom exactly?

I need help thinking of a movie title?

The movie is about a guy that dies and comes back as a ghost and visits his girlfriend. He has some old man guiding him for whatever reason I cant remember. I thought it was called My boyfriends back but I don't know. It was probably an 80s movie and I want to say it had john travolta in it but I think I am probably wrong. It also seems like it may have a motorcycle in it. It seems like it was supposed to be set in like the fifties or so.

Fat Albert....Thanks for going out of your way to read word by word, my questions and answers and taking the time from other things to work out a response. A person has to know what is important in their lives, I compliment you on your priorities.
bikinkaw....But those fords and chevys and VWs have engines with modern horsepower and suspensions from 2009, not 1950. Not much I could say if a harley or harley clone had modern horsepower and modern cornering, but they don't.

Question #19:

Help with composing questions to get more interesting answers.?

I am doing a project on motorcyclists and wanted to ask a set of questions which would provide me with animated answers about how passionate they are about their motorcycles. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of the kind of questions or even how to ask a question in a way which would get someone excited about giving a response to.

For example, the questions I have so far are:

What was the first bike you ever bought / rode / owned?

Do you modify your bike and if so what mods have you made? if not, and if money wasn't an issue what mods would you like to make?

What is the best experience you've had on your bike so far?

Question #20:

what's the difference, if any, between a man's motorcycle seat and a woman's?
