AP suspends coverage of cricket in Australia and WI series coverage will be affected. What do you think?

The Associated Press will suspend coverage of cricket in Australia for the second consecutive international season because of a dispute over conditions for accreditation imposed by Cricket Australia.

The AP was joined by Reuters and Agence France-Presse in a global news coalition which will not be covering the three-test series against the West Indies starting in Brisbane on Thursday. The news agencies also refused to cover the 2008-2009 series in Australia involving South Africa and New Zealand.

A similar dispute in the 2007-08 season between CA and the three agencies was settled after coverage was suspended for the first test match between Australia and Sri Lanka.

Cricket Australia and news agencies have been discussing the latest accreditation terms for several months.

Cricket Australia has demanded the right to see the agencies' lists of clients and to veto any they decide should not receive pictures and text coverage of the tests. It also wants to impose limits on the number and frequency of text and photo updates for Web sites and on the duration of images in photographic archives.

"Once again, Cricket Australia is standing in the way of full and impartial coverage of a major sports event despite a growing consensus, even in Australia, that sport belongs to the public and not to governing bodies," said Simon Haydon, the AP's International Sports Editor.

Cricket accreditation was among the subjects earlier this year of an Australian Senate inquiry into the reporting of sports, which found in favor of continuing press freedom regardless of which media the news is delivered in. The terms and conditions offered by Cricket Australia for the 2009-2010 season were not significantly altered in the wake of the inquiry findings.

The Australian government could consider legislating on the issue if sports administrators and the media cannot find a solution to accreditation issues, however, any moves to introduce laws would be in the longer term.

Peter Young, Cricket Australia's manager for Public Affairs, said Australian cricket fans would have access to the coverage provided by domestic media which had accepted side agreements following negotiations on terms and conditions for accreditation for this season.

The AP continues to cover international cricket in the other test-playing nations for its members and subscribers around the world.

Hi there, My boyfriend recently got deployed and I want to send him some sexy pictures. However, the problem is that I am not sure how to get them developed. I don't really want to go and buy a photo printer, and don't want some photo tech at Target or Walmart to see them. Any ideas? Thanks.
He didn't bring his laptop with him. So electronics are out of the question. Prefer to send quality pics too. Thanks again.
Is it really illegal to send picture to the Middle East? Yikes, didn't even think of that. Is there any way to get around it without computers involved?

Okay, so i have this assignment for photography. It's like a self portrait thingy. There is this woman that I like a lot at university, and it seems through all the signals that she likes me as well, (I'm not dense) but where I'm already in a relationship with my current girlfriend for years,- however, I do find this woman very attractive and like if I met her before, she sends the tingle in my spine that shes the one type of feeling which I never ever felt b4. I do like her, but out of respect for her, her own relationship, and my own, and overall to keep the friendship, I choose not to act as I would if I was single. Every bone in my body says to act, but is it worth the risk? Case and point - does she like me, or what? Whats up. Should I say frig it, and just ask her what she wants? or continue to play the game which is getting nerve racking wonderng whats up. Just asking for help before I go mad.

I am thinking I should wear Spanx or something like it under my wedding dress. I am 5'6 and about 150 lbs, I am currently working on losing ten pounds for the wedding. I have a medium bone structure, not small, so I don't carry much extra weight but the weight I do carry is on my hips and thighs, I am a pear shape.

My dress is very form fitting and I like that it shows off my curves but I want everything to be smoothe. Would Spanx work?

Nathalie Blanchard has been on leave from her job at IBM in Bromont, Quebec, for the last year.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Saturday she was diagnosed with major depression and was receiving monthly sick-leave benefits from insurance giant Manulife.

But the payments dried up this fall and when Blanchard called Manulife, she says she was told she was available to work because of Facebook.

She said her insurance agent described several pictures Blanchard posted on Facebook, including ones showing her having a good time at a Chippendales bar show, at her birthday party and on a sun holiday.

I'm 17 years old and i joined myspace about a week ago. ( my parents finally allowe me.)

is atkins bad for you - REALLY?

i had always heard it was bad for you so never wnet on it but now that i've bene trying to lose weight and KEEP it off for 5 years, im desperate! i already work out 5x a week (1- 1.5hr cardio + weights + yoga) and am eating lots of chicken, fish, veggies, etc. no white carbs, and everything. i did this last year and lost only 15 lbs in 4 months. i moved to europe and gained like 25 lbs in 6 mnths!! no i have 6 mnths to lose as much weight as i can which knowing me will be 20 lbs. i have been looking at these photos and really wanna try atkins now. does anyone have any ACTUAL evidence that it's bad/harmful?
