Question #1:
Do you wish that this 13 year old boy who died planting a bomb was Italian Catholic or Norwegian Lutheran?
Hello folks,This is the tragic story of a 13 year old Afghan boy, who was forced by jihadis to plant a bomb, the bomb exploded on him, he died a horrific death.

Don't you wish that he'd been born Italian Catholic Trinitarian or Norwegian Lutheran Trinitarian Christian instead, so he could get a good education, live a longer & happied life, & not die so young & so brutally?
Or do you think that it'd be worse for him to be a Catholic & worship Three Gods, coz that would send him to Hell, & this religion was better for him?
Just curious.
Question #2:
Serious girl problem, mature answers please?
've known her for a year. When we started hanging out, I fell for her, but she said she didn't want a romantic relationship, citing differences in religion and culture. So we took some time apart, but started hanging out again. Until my feelings came back, then we would take time apart. This happens about 6 times, each time we keep getting closer, until...well now we're so close we're each others best friend. Each time we stop talking though, both of us tell each other "this is it, we can't keep seeing each other", but she'll cry, or I'll get upset, and soon we'll be seeing each other again. Once she took me leaving pretty bad, and proceeded to burn my things; another time she changed her number, only to call me 3 weeks later saying it was a mistake. Another was when we weren't talking, until I found out she was sick....she was traveling at the time, so I got on a plane to see her.I thought I could deal with just being her friend, but I can't. We call each other several times a day, and hang out twice a week, usually doing something like a nice restuarant, watching a meteor shower, talking a walk on the beach...something romantic. And now, it's like I can't deal with it anymore. A part of me, just wants to make her happy, and be her friend; but the other part realizes that this is pretty hopeless, she won't ever fall for me. It's obvious we care a lot about each other. Is there a solution to this problem?

You are not an anti-cat.

You are not an anti-historian.
You are an a-theist. You are anti-religion.
Question #4:
Christians...why do you feel you have the right to bash other religions?
Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke [reason with] thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
-- Leviticus 19: 17-18 (KJV)
Yet, there is many a Christian that feels he/she has the right to tell others of different beliefs that they are wrong, will burn in hell, are sinners, or even wish upon them vile harm. They do this to Jews, Muslims, Pagans, even to different Christian sects> How do you expect anyone to respect you, if you cannot show equal respect? Don't thump that Bible and then be a hypocrite!!!
....some of you folks need to read better, no where do I say "all" Christians.

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that?
What can be possibly wrong with this?Jehovah's Witnesses teach that God is not responsible for all the suffering and hardship we have on the Earth. They use scriptural concept to do this and show a way out for mankind on Earth under God's eventual intervention.

They tell us that we are stupid and confused- Yet they are always asking us to explain simple scriptures to them, that they say don't make sense. They tell us that we are such terrible nasty people- While they surf through the religion and spirituality category bashing us and our religion on questions that had nothing to do with them.
They'll say that we are illogical- while half their Q&A are putting down subject that they don't believe.

Question #14:
The radicalization of religious factions..... How dangerous are they?
Psalm 1098 Let his days be few;
and let another take his office. Acts 1.20
9 Let his children be fatherless,
and his wife a widow.
10 Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg:
let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
11 Let the extortioner catch all that he hath;
and let the strangers spoil his labor.
12 Let there be none to extend mercy unto him:
neither let there be any to favor his fatherless children.
13 Let his posterity be cut off;
and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD;
and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
----------------------------------------------
Religion of love ?
Sound pretty hate driven to me
Religion of peace ?
Sounds pretty extremist and violent at its core
Just how dangerous are these factions and what should authorities be doing in order to ensure these self radicalized groups do not commit criminal acts against the society ?

I have never read the koran for a start
2 ---- I haven't seen or heard of a bumper sticker in the US or in Canada or England quoting the koran and calling for this type of hate
Have you ?
When was the last time you saw a bumper sticker --- or even just heard of one quoting the koran for the purposes of hate in the US or Canada or England ?
If the answer is never then shut up
Rosered 2
Yes I am sure it does --- so now what ?
Evil holy book number one or slightly less evil holy book number 2 ?
Think about your choices here --- the lesser of 2 so called holy books that both justify horrific acts of violence
Choosing the lesser of 2 evils hasn't worked out all that well at the polls has it ? Why then impose such a choice on your very core beliefs ?
Is it then that the only reason you are picking the bible is because it is less hateful than choice B
If so you need to think seriously about the corner you have painted yourself into
Question #15:
How do I tell my parents about my boyfriend?
First of all, I come from an Indian family and my parents are strict Hindus. They don't believe I should be dating outside of our "community" but I won't tolerate that. I have been going out with a guy for 1 and a bit months now and it's starting to turn into something a bit more serious. My boyfriend is white and Christian, and to my parents it doesn't matter what I feel for him...he isn't Indian or Hindu. He wants to introduce me to his parents and to meet mine. My parents know we're "friends" but they don't know we're more than that. I so want my parents to get to know him, because he's so sweet and lovely and if they'd just put race and religion aside I'm sure they'd like him. How can I tell my parents about him without them forcing us to split and my parents hating me?Also, I'm 17 so I'm old enough to make my own decisions.
Question #16:
Is this guy right for me? I love him but family & friends & strangers think differently.?
He is 6 feet tall, same height as me. Same nationality and same religion. He doesn't have a college degree and I have an Associates Degree. He is a Leo and I am a Sagittarius. I love being with him because I feel that he is my Comfort Zone, and without him I am depressed and/or bored. He is my sunshine and he makes me feel like I belong somewhere. My dad opened up this new publishing business and needs all the advertises he can get. My boyfriend is sticking by my Dad all the way, even though my brother doesn't show any interest towards the business. Everyday, me and him spend a lot of time getting advertises. Actually I drive to different places when he does the talking because he is a very good negotiator/swift talker.
My dad is very interested in him because he shows interest in the business and gets advertises for him. My brother shows a lot of interest in my relationship because I let him do it. I let him do it because I used to tell my brother everything that was going on in my relationship, even the negative aspect.
My friends thinks I need to be with someone better, someone who is not a womanizer. He is a womanizer but he didn't physically cheat on me. Maybe mentally or emotionally.
Strangers in the neighborhood who sees him around sees him without a job, without an education, has a rich brother, therefore thinks he is the don juan, all of great times. He is a Leo therefore he is a tendency to think he is the best of all the best out there no matter what. But that's only too showy outside where the limelight is, where the audience is.
With me he is very down to earth, strict, likes me to follow rules and regulations, positive deeds, pray, study for knowledge, etc etc positiveness. That's why I love him because of his personality and how great he treats me. Setting everyone aside, he treats me like I am his Queen.
By the way, he also volunteers in my dad's office as a Writer for Astrology and the Sports secton. He is not an astrologer but writes about astrology based on research and he states his sources.
He is highly intellectual in his mother tongue, Bengali and writes different stories for the paper.
Question #17:
Why do Christians feel that they have to convert everyone?
i have studied many religions and not one is the same as Christianity in the way that they try to convert everyone. if you ask a question about a different religion you are sure to get a few Christians/Catholics saying; 'it is not the true path. turn away and let God save you!' but if you write a question about Christianity you rarely get people saying; 'turn to buddhism, or turn to paganism, that's the true path'.why is that? why can't the followers of God just leave everyone alone to their own beliefs? i did used to be a Christian, and even then didn't agree with it so i'm wondering what others opinions are.
and Christians cannot say they are trying to save everyone, because they know when answering that it doesn't work, no one is going to listen. they are just attempting to annoy the questioner. i did it many times.

Title Source of the Punishment for Apostasy
Question Dear Sheikh! I find it strange that you speak about the punishment specified for apostasy. I cannot find any verse stating such a punishment for an apostate. Moreover, it goes against the idea that Islam cannot be spread by the sword. Can you enlighten me on the sources of this punishment? Is it from the Hadith of the Prophet Hadiths?

Answer
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Dear questioner, May Allah grant you guidance and illumination for bearing with us and sending us this good question. Thank you very much for the confidence in our service and we hope you receive our answer objectively.
Coming to your question on the basis of the punishment of apostasy, we would like to start with the following words of the prominent Moroccan scholar Sheikh Abdul Bari Az-Zamzamy:
"It should be noted that Islam never compels any person to accept it or embrace its teachings. It gives the freedom of thinking to people, with full respect to their mentalities and way of thinking. However, Islam is not a man-made religion that is subject to scrutiny or biased criticism that is based on mere suspicion, since it was originated by Allah, the Supreme Creator of all minds and mentalities. In addition, apostasy causes a total disruption and confusion in the Muslim community, and thus, a severe punishment was set for it to deter anyone from thinking of it. It was originally put into force following the Jewish conspiracy against Islam. The details of that conspiracy were simply mass conversion to Islam and then mass apostasy. The main ill aim was to cause confusion and to lead people astray. Thus, the punishment was set as a precautionary measure to stop all these offenses."
Speaking of the authority of the punishment and its being genuine and based on the authentic sources of Islam, Sheikh `Attiyah Saqr, former Head of Al-Azhar Fatwa Committee, states:
"It is not right to deny the punishment of apostasy claiming that it has not been reported in the Qur'an, because it has been recorded in the mutawatir (Hadith which has been reported by at least four of the Companions in different times and places in a way that make a person sure that such Hadith is not fabricated) and the non-mutawatir Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him). Hudud (Islamic punishment specified for certain crimes) may, of course, be based on the non-mutawatir Sunnah."
Detailing the issue and showing some of the evidence for the punishment of apostasy, the prominent Muslim scholar Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, states:
"All Muslim jurists agree that the apostate is to be punished. However, they differ regarding the punishment itself. The majority of them go for killing; meaning that an apostate is to be sentenced to death.
Many authentic Hadiths have been reported in this regard. Ibn `Abbas reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whoever changes his religion, you kill him." (Reported by all the group except Muslim, and at-Tabarani also reported it with a sound chain of narrators. Also recorded in Majma` Az-Zawa'id by Al-Haythamiy.)
There is also the Hadith of Ibn Mas`ud that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The blood of a Muslim individual who bears witness that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, is not to be shed except in three cases: in retaliation (in murder crimes), married adulterers (and adulteresses), and the one who abandons his religion and forsakes the Muslim community." (Reported by the Group)
The actual example of one of the greatest Companions, `Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) gives credit to this also. He himself carried out the punishment on some people who had deified him. He gave them three days respite to repent and go back to their senses. When they proved adamant, he put them to fire.â€
