Around what month does ice become safe enough to skate on?

I just moved to a house next to a lake in New Hampshire and it would help if I knew because I tend to plan ahead.

skating at indoor rink what should i wear?

i have a really soft striped sweater the colors are dark brown and like a creamy shade of white each strip is about 2 inches wide and i dont know what to wear with it..... any ideas????....
Also any hair style ideas anyone??? my hair lengh is around my shoulders and i have layered side bangs(dark brown hair) does not curl or straigtan well but only way i can curl it is if i use curlers the night before..

Is There A Rule About Hockey Players Wearing Figure Skates?

I Figure skated for 9 years and now i play hockey for U14 girls. Being knocked around so much and banging into people i cant keep my balance as well cause the blade is curved. is there a rule saying i cant wear figure skates while laying hockey?
i Dont Care about embarassment , but as long as im better at staying on my feet it will help the team more. i just wanna know if theres a rule?

What should i do about wrestling and skateboarding?

Ok, so i just started wrestling 4 the season and we have practice every day of the week. On school days i don't even get home until 6:30 and on weekends i have practice both saturday and sunday at 9- 12. And after eery practice I'm too dead to skate... every day. And its only a problem 4 me because i got sponsored by my local shop back in May. AND i have to give little kids skate lessons on weekends so i can't really put down skating. and i'm a way better skater than wrestler. So what should I do?

am i a fun person or a boring one? my kid thinks i am boring?

I am a mom and don't buy fizzy drinks. my sister do. i don't go to parties cause i hate them. i stay home and chill. Sometimes i go places like trocadero in west end (London, UK) cinema, 10pin bowling, ice skating even fun fair. I love going to family day's fairs where all parents hang out with their kids, try out some games, get info on ie. health, children, courses and getting freebies. I don't have many friends. I don;t talk much becos i can't be bothered to explain things to people but do talk about things like gaming and what things i got up to. I study. I love my DSi and games on Wii.Reading books. I don't get boyfriends becos they don't want me. They just want my sis or any other girls.

My kid thinks i am boring because i don't do parties, always hanging out at home, go places that is fun like ice skating, biking etc. I think i am more fun than my sis is becos she party and get drunk, have a laugh and always have bf.

Am i really boring?????

Is it right if I understand it as '...while the store will display the female side shoes as a hip beach girls selection.'? What are side shoes?

its not gonna be ice skating themed were just gonna ice skate as an activity. is it to little kiddish for 12 and 13 year olds?

personally im sick of it , im a celebrity and im pooping behind a tree , singing in a rigged competition , dancing just to be critisised , stuck in a house with another load of social rejects , and skating on ice trying not to break my neck etc etc , why cant they come up with something new...watchable and entertaining......like merlin on bbc thats a good program! we need more of those types of programs ....but not about the end of the world because thats been done to death aswell , what do u think?

I love my hockey team, but we hardly ever win and it's tough to keep morale high.?

We've won 3 games in 4 years, but it's because our team almost got cut and we had to recruit brand new players to join. You can't get back missed years when you're playing against girls who have been skating since they could walk (I live in MN so it's literally like that in some cases). But we work out asses off, just to be taken as a joke to everyone. We actually have some talent this year, but our amazing goalie graduated last year, so we have to start over again. At our school, sports are big, but we just get made fun of. Is there anything we/I can do?

I want these cool new skate shoes that i found for cheap, but i also have winter training for lacrosse coming up and i want shoes that i can run in comfortably. My old shoes were regular running shoes, but now they are so used that it looks as if i man wearing rags on my feet. so... can you run in skater shoes?

Okay so im a figure skater and i do paired skating, the guy i skate with almost always gets one when we do a routine or some moves, i feel sorry for him cos i know it makes him feel embarrassed but i say don't worry and we laugh it off, but i feel bad for him lol. So can you like stop yourself from getting one? He said hes tried to think about other stuff, but like some moves and things you HAVE to concentrate on some bits like when i have to wrap my leg round his and things, cos if we dont concentrate we will fall xD Thankyou =)

Hi. I stopped skating a while ago but picked it up again recently - about 4 weeks ago. I don't know if this is normal but when I push I use my toes - my bro said I should use my whole foot - but both cause a slight pain after close to a full day of skating. When I start again the next day - it still hurts. Whats wrong with my foot? and also which part of the foot is good for pushing?

My daughter just drew all over the wall. She has a birthday party to attend tomorrow. Should she go?

So, my daughter is 4 1/2. Two nights ago she drew all of her entire body with (washable) marker. I explained to her that she can only draw on paper, otherwise I will not allow her to have markers anymore.

Tonight, she drew all over the walls with marker. I made her clean it off the wall, and reiterated the part about only using paper. We talked about it for several minutes, and I made it a point to her that I was livid, but I don't know if 'talking' is necessarily enough, since we just 'talked' two nights ago.

She was invited to a skating party for her twin cousins tomorrow, which is after her dance class.

Should I be taking her to the party? What about dance class? What would you have done in the same situation?

I'm going skating in about an hour with a friend and i got a massive pimple IN my nose, and my chin looks gross cause there another one THERE!, I also don't know what to wear, its rollerskating, and its to hot for jeans!
