Question #1:
Ok another guitar amp question?
Hi. This is yet again another amp question.Basically I am still looking for a good amp for small gigs and practice. I was looking at some micro tube head models. I was looking at the Vox Night train and the Orange Tiny Terror. If anyone has a good speaker to go with them please could you recommend it. I have a saturday job (as I am still at school) and have saved up for a while meaning that about the max I could stretch to would be around £500.
I don't want to go into massively expensive tube amps because I really don't think I need it.
However I was also looking at some combo models. Like the Roland cube 60 or the line 6 spider 4.
If anyone has anymore combo or micro tube recommendations please tell me :)
Thanks for the help :)
I mostly play lead of some description. Like steve vai. But I want to be diverse. I want to rig up a multi fx Peddle aswell
Question #2:
What is the best 30watt amp for around $200 range?
I've looked at a Vox, Marshall, and Line 6 mostly. But I'm open to anything else. I play anything except for hard rock and metal. Suggestions?Also is the brand crate any good?
Question #3:
Whats an amp similar to the vox valvatronix 15W?
musicians friends doesn't ship that to canada for some reason !Question #4:
How do I know when I'm singing in my head or mix voice?
I've been taking voice lessons for a couple weeks now, but there's still some things I'm not sure about.I used to always sing in chest voice (I'm a girl), so my head and mix voice are pretty weak still.
My vox teacher says that the airy "choir"ey sound I have to flip to when I go above A (above middle c) is mix, and that it'll get stronger as I practice.
The thing is, I feel this clear, drastic change when I flip from chest to "mix", but not from mix to head [It just sort of keeps going up], I don't feel any difference? Am I doing this right?
Sorry if it's all really confusing

Question #6:

Question #8:
How big of a tube amp (in wattage) does it take to fill a hockey arena with sound?
tube amps, like fender or vox.Question #9:
My New guitar amp makes a very strange noise when the volume is over halfway?
i recently got a Vox AD100VTH head with a Fender 4x12 Cab, im playing it with an epiphone les paul custom, it sounds great when its on a medium volume but as soon as the volume gets over halfway whenever I play (particularly when palm muted) it makes a very weird noise. It becomes very fuzzy and bassy but only if im playing something (its almost totally quiet, as in no buzzing, if i'm not playing something, even when turned all the way up) and almost sounds as if it has a flanger effect on it, its really hard to explain the sound its exactly making, but its not good. I've tried the amp with a few guitars and it makes the same noise. if anyone has any idea what's going on with it your help will be greatly appreciated.PS.
This is not normal distortion at all. I did by it from a "real" music store and the sales person told me it would go as loud as I want it to with no problems. I think i'm going to take it back in I just wanted to ask on this to see if it was something i could fix, I also just realised it makes another weird noise when its loud, when i first touch the strings it makes a high pitched metallic tingy noise just for a sec, after that i am still left with the crappy sounding amp (when its loud)
i think i know what's wrong with it. the cab they put with the head at the music store is 4Ω, in the owners manual for the amp it has a chart of speakers its compatible with and a cab at 4Ω is not one of them, does this sound like it could be the problem?
i don't think it is the amp, seeing when i sayi got it recently i mean like yesterday, I think it's just an incompatibility between the head and the cab they put with it. thanks for all your help and advice anyway's guys
Question #10:
Can religion really be blamed for all our attrocities?
I tried posting this up before and I got great responses but unfortunately report monkeys got to the question and it got deleted.I've read many atheists type that religion is the cause of most atrocities, and that two atheists can't fight for atheism. While I do sort of agree that religion does sometimes can be the cause for some of the world's atrocities, there are other reasons that have more influence than religion ever can.
Lets take a look at some figures:
Pre 20th century DEMOCIDES which were religious 2,650,000 compared to total 133,147,000 is about 3%. Then everything else is non religious like dominance, totalitarian agendas and many other things.
Click Here
Vox Day, in "The Irrational Atheist", lists 22 atheistic regimes that committed 153,368,610 murders in the 20th century alone.
Classic examples are U.S.S.R 1917–1987:1,911,000, China:1923–200776,702,000, and of course Vietnam: 1945–2007:1,670,000
Now is atheism to blame for all these atrocities? or is it the people, the individuals that are to blame.
The key factor in these atrocities has been totalitarian power, rather than religion, which has resulted in these hundreds of millions of murders.
Whats your opinion?
Question #11:

Question #12:
PHYSICS!!! i have all the steps for the question, but last one doesn't make sense!! PLEASE HELP!?
Question is if the projectile is then fired at an angle of 35 degrees from the horizontal at a height of 1.10 m with the same initial velocity found above, what would be the range of the projectile?initial velocity from previous question is 4.77
Vox = 4.77 cos ( 35 ) = 3.907
Voy = 4.77 sin (35 ) = 2.736
Now, use the information you just found to solve the main equation used in projectile motion problems:
0 = Voy * t - ( 1/2 ) * g * (t ^ 2 ) + h
0 = ( 2.736 ) t - ( 1/2) ( 9.8 ) (t ^2) + 1.1
if you rearrange, you will see that this equation has the form
0 = a ( t^2 ) + b t + c
once you realize this, you can use the quadratic formula to solve for t. Then, plug that value for t into your Vo = R / T equation.
HOW DO YOU PLUG IT INTO THE QUADRATIC FORMULA...i've tried billions of times!!!! it keeps giving me a weird answer and i know that the correct answer for the range would be 3.239. im messing up on the t for some weird reason...please help!

Question #17:
jazz vox audition pieces?
okay. I'm a woman, and i got swing in my soul! XDbasically, i need jazz/contemporary pieces for uni auditions. they'll be either with guitar or (simple! i'm not so good at keys) piano accomp, or a capella, but if they don't suit i'll just make my own arrangement, so don't let that limit ideas...
range/difficulty no object, although some higher register pieces would be handy.
and if i can branch away from tradit. jazz, so much the better, because i've already got stuff like 'lullaby of birdland', 'desafinado', 'willow weep for me', 'god bless the child', all that jazz (no pun intended).
my problem is that i have no idea what's audition appropriate! and i'm completely out of ideas.
best thanks to anyone who's helpful, you're all wonderful.
